From Saturday 4th June 2022, at Quenington near Cirencester, the Fresh Air Biennale opens. Lucy and David Abel-Smith’s organic gardens play host to the public to display sculpture from international artists. Postponed from last year due the pandemic, it returns this year with added vim and vibrancy.
Fiaz’s piece – Tutti Frutti Totem, is an expression of fun and joy lighting up a hidden corner of the garden. See if you can find it! She also has pieces at the Pool House Gallery for sale.
Fiaz also curates a private pop up glass exhibition in Lucy and David’s home from the 16th – 19th June. If you would like to visit, please contact Fiaz through this website to make a booking.
You can catch some of Fiaz’s work at this exhibition in May and until 12th June 2022, along with other top glass artists from the UK. More details here
And here’s an article on the opening in the Stroud Times.
The piece entitled Oracle had a makeover of sorts when photographer James Glossop decided to light it for dramatic effect for an article in The Times. The piece was being prepared for exhibition at the Scottish Gallery in Edingburgh but has since gone to the Liuli Gallery in Taipei and will be in Shanghai from April 2020.
I’m excited to announce the opening of The Glass Foundry which will be a school of glass, a design and production house and a centre for excellence in kiln cast, cold worked glass.
We will soon be –
advertising a programme of training and masterclasses at every level
recruiting two interns
producing a range of tableware, furniture, lighting and garden ornaments
